Author

Brad Pivar is a storyteller, ocean advocate, and Oceana supporter. This story is his adaptation of the original bedtime story he wrote for Alexandra Cousteau to read at Oceana SeaChange 2020 – as the virtual event’s “goodnight” finale. It is inspired by his love for the California Coast, and the hope that his two young children are able to enjoy the legacy of sustainable oceans.

Jeff Granito received a BA in history at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, and a BFA in Graphic Design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. From his home studio in Southern California, he works as a full-time freelance artist for many well known clients, and creates his own art, featuring vibrant saturated colors and a tropical tiki twist, for his online shop.
